3.2 A Table of Condiments (Smell)

A white plastic table was at the far corner of the room. It was a spacious seminar room with rows of chairs and a six-meter-long mirror on the wall on one side of the room. Everyone was told to walk barefoot inside that room. The floor of that part of the room was particularly wet and sticky. That table was filled with sachets of coffee, tea bags, paper cups, and coffee mixer-sticks. Beside that table was a water dispenser that dispenses both hot and cold water.

That part of the room smelled like coffee. The pungent smell of coffee, tea, and dirt puddles permeated the area. As steam from hot coffee rose from small paper cups, the airconditioned room soon had a thick, humid-like smell that was not very pleasant to smell. The aroma of boiled tea, however, had the nicest scent. It seemed the kind of smell that could make any person subliminally happier.
