3.5 (Sight and Smell) An Old Sofa

Antique objects had always stirred enough curiosity in me. These objects tell stories that supply for the lack of historical data about it. More often than not, an antique piece of furniture do not have historical data attached to it--ordinary people couldn't bother--but only memories.

When aged, sofas would normally smell like foam and rust. This particular old sofa smells like talcum powder and potpourri. A huge furniture covered with flower designs, the sofa's cushion is what gives off the smell. The edges of the sofa--arms, feet--are wooden and carved with swirls and lines. Its cushion design is a creamy white with blue and pink flowers and leaves adorning it. The wooden parts had the color of mud--the color of a bit of sienna and amber--yellowish brown.
