3.6 A Drums Set (Sight and Hearing)

A shiny brass-colored drums set sat at the far end of the sanctuary. A black round collapsible chair--the drum throne--finds itself in front of the drums set, at the middle part of the whole drum formation. Every Sunday in church, the same drummer would play on that set. She played it exceptionally well.

The design on each individual drum's shell looked like crumpled sheets of tissue paper, except of a bronze color. The cymbals on the set were a rusty, dark gold color. Each drum and cymbal made a different sound. Each stand had a shiny black color. The cymbals looked like round, flat hats from afar. The snare drum, with a white middle, had the sound of moving aluminum foil. The bass drum and floor tom sounded like giant's footsteps. The middle and high toms sounded like a person punching on a hard, wooden floor.
